The ThermiTight procedure uses a needle-thin electrode to deliver carefully monitored RF energy that heats subnormal tissue. Heating of the tissue will then result in the production of collagen.

ThermiTight is often combined with liposuction if there is excess fat present in the desired treatment area. Depending on the area being treated and how loose the skin is, there usually is swelling that lasts from 3 to 7 days after the procedure. It is also often recommended to wear a compression garment for 48 hours following the procedure. Some patients have complained of numbness or tingling in the area for three months. Some rare side effects include: injury of a nerve, infections or burns.
